Score Mate Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

Lumate ("we", "us", or "our") operates Score Mate. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use Score Mate. By using the app, you agree to this policy.

2. Data We Collect

When you use Score Mate, we may collect:

• Offline scoring — no account required; match history and presets stay on your watch
• Optional cloud pairing — account identifier and device identifier to authenticate sync
• When paired: match history (scores, sport, timestamps, point history), custom rule presets
• When paired with health enabled: optional post-match heart rate and calorie summaries
• Health platform access (HealthKit / Google Health Services) — only with your explicit permission, processed on-device

3. How We Use Your Data

Score Mate stores match data on your watch for scoring and history. If you choose to pair with ScoreMate Cloud, we sync match history and presets to your private dashboard over encrypted connections (HTTPS) for backup, cross-device preset sync, live scores, and shareable recaps. Pairing is opt-in; unlinking stops future cloud sync. We use account and device identifiers only for app functionality — not for advertising or cross-app tracking. Health data is never required.

We also use aggregated, anonymised data to understand how the app is used and to improve future features.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase (managed PostgreSQL). We apply industry-standard encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. We do not sell your data to third parties.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Supabase — secure data storage and authentication
• Vercel — web hosting and deployment
• Google Play Services — app distribution and in-app features on Android

6. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as you have an active account or as needed to provide the service. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it by law.

7. Your Rights

Under the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and GDPR (if applicable), you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Object to or restrict certain processing
• Data portability

8. Children's Privacy

Score Mate is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently done so, contact us immediately.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of Score Mate after changes constitutes acceptance of the new policy.
